A Letter from Innovation Senior Management’s

Founder & CEO, Pilar Carvajal

April 2nd, 2020

Dear staff,

As your employer, we are required to provide a work environment that is free from recognized hazards that are

causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm. We have both vaccinated and unvaccinated

employees that work at this community. In order to continue to provide a safe work environment, we will be requiring unvaccinated employees to provide a weekly negative COVID test in between the regularly scheduled

bi-weekly testing schedule provided by the community.

OSHA has stated that unvaccinated workers should:

∙ Identify opportunities to get vaccinated.

∙ Properly wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth.

∙ Stay at least 6 feet away from other people.

∙ Be aware of whether rooms are properly ventilated.

∙ Practice good personal hygiene and wash hands often.

We want to stress the importance of getting vaccinated. People are not considered fully vaccinated until 2 weeks

after their second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or 2 weeks after a single-dose of

Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine

The benefits of getting vaccinated are as follows:

∙ COVID-19 vaccines are safe

∙ COVID-19 vaccines are effective. They can keep you from getting and spreading the virus that causes

COVID-19. Learn more about the different COVID-19 vaccines.

∙ COVID-19 vaccines also help keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19.

∙ Getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, particularly people at increased risk for

severe illness from COVID-19.

∙ COVID-19 vaccination is a safer way to help build protection

∙ COVID-19 is still a threat to people who are unvaccinated. Some people who get COVID-19 can become

severely ill, which could result in hospitalization, and some people have ongoing health problems several weeks or even longer after getting infected. Even people who did not have symptoms when they were infected can have these ongoing health problems.

∙ Immunity after COVID-19 vaccination

Sincerely,

Pilar Carvajal
