Pilar Carvajal,
CEO and Founder

Mrs. Carvajal entered the senior living space with a mission of providing excellent care and has proven her thesis that better care and better resident outcomes also enhance profitability for property owners. Over her career, Mrs. Carvajal has served the middle and fixed-income senior. Mrs. Carvajal demonstrates excellence in using the Medicaid program to subsidize services for fixed-income seniors. She has continued to care for this population in large part and is looking to innovative ways to continue to service them and baby boomers in the future. Profits with a conscience is Innovation Senior Living’s core tenet and that tenet continues to drive the growth of her company.

Prior to creating Innovation Senior Living, Mrs. Carvajal was the Chief Operating Officer of Mia Senior Living Solutions. For fifteen years she oversaw the nationwide strategic development and day-to-day operations for the assisted living and adult day care communities the company managed. Prior to her senior living career, Mrs. Carvajal worked as a management consultant for the leading management consulting firms of Accenture and IBM Global Business Services in New York City.
Mrs. Carvajal has a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. She is a Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Program Alumni and Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Graduate. She sits on the Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA) Board, Miami Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Committee, The Beacon Council Small Business Committee and City of Miami Beach Affordable Housing Committee. Mrs. Carvajal was recently recognized as a top leader in the field of long-term care and senior care. She was named to the Hall of Honor in the nationwide 2019 McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards.

Eduardo Carvajal,
Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Mr. Carvajal is an experienced corporate finance professional through his work with JPMorgan Chase, Beckman Coulter and Standard NY Securities. As the Director of Financial Management, Mr. Carvajal oversees the financial planning and analysis of the corporate entities as well as the centralized bookkeeping for the facilities.
As the Director of Investor Relations, Mr. Carvajal’s role is to use his extensive knowledge base and relationships to analyze and generate transactions for the team as well as for our investors. Mr. Carvajal works with internal and external investors to report financial results and analyze trends in the industry.
Mr. Carvajal holds an MBA degree and MSIE degree from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science also from the University of Miami.

Edward Trotta,
Director of Operations

Edward has served the senior living industry for twenty years, including over a decade of operations experience as Executive Director for Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. As Executive Director, he has opened several large Senior Living communities in Florida and managed them successfully from construction and pre-lease to stabilization. Edward is well versed in service and hospitality having worked at The Breakers of Palm Beach from 1996 through 2000.

Edward earned his college degree in Long Island New York, is a CORE trained Assisted Living Administrator, certified in Healthcare Management through St. Josephs College of Maine, and is a Certified Dietary Manager as well.

Edina Huskic,
Director of Accounting

Ms. Huskic has over a decade of experience in property management and accounting. Some of Ms. Huskic’s critical accounting functions include accounts receivable and payable, payroll, banking, account reconciliations, expense budgeting and revenue forecasting. She is a greatly skilled leader that has led numerous teams to growth and great efficiency.
Prior to joining Innovation Senior Living, Ms. Huskic was a key player in her previous company’s monumental growth. She was a leader in the company’s operations, software, hardware, policies, and procedure implementation that caused the company to run efficiently, while increasing revenue, decreasing expenses, while simultaneously providing quality service to clients and customers. All of which improved company growth and advancement, increased profits, and customer satisfaction.
